Washington Institute 2010
March 21-23, 2010 - Omni Shoreham Hotel, Washington, DC

Join us for NCJW's premier public policy event.  Enhance your knowledge of the issues and challenges facing our country and our world through in-depth briefings by political leaders and policy experts.  Enhance your passion for social justice through the voices and stories of those directly impacted by the issues here in the US and in Israel.  Share ideas and experiences and network with like-minded individuals.  And, enhance your power by speaking out to your members of Congress in face-to-face meetings on Capitol Hill.  You can and do play a critical role in making a difference on the many issues about which NCJW feels so deeply.  Your participation, along with that of hundreds of other committed NCJW activists, will ensure that NCJW's collective voice is heard loudly and clearly in our nation's capital.

International Council of Jewish Women's (ICJW)
Quadrennial Convention
May 8-11, 2010 -- Cape Town, South Africa

Step beyond the borders of NCJW and into the global world of NCJW-USA as an affiliate of the International Council of Jewish Women (ICJW). NCJW members have the unprecedented opportunity to participate in ICJW's Quadrennial Convention next year, when Sharon Scott Gustafson – an NCJW leader – will be installed as president. Attendees will be able to meet fellow ICJW members from around the world, hear about ICJW's important work, and participate in strategizing sessions about ICJW's future endeavors.

ICJW was founded in 1912 by Hannah G. Solomon, in order to bring her vision of a significant organization for Jewish women to the international stage. Today, NCJW-USA remains the largest of ICJW's 47 affiliate members throughout the world.

NCJW 2010 Israel Benefit Luncheon
June 10, 2010 -- Harmonie Club, New York City

Join NCJW as we honor philanthropist, advocate, and dedicated volunteer: Jan Schneiderman, past NCJW national president (1999-2002).
The 2010 Israel Benefit Luncheon also celebrates NCJW's pioneering Israel Program and the continuing partnership of NCJW and US/Israel Women to Women (W2W). Together, we are creating progressive social change in the lives of Israel’s women, children, and families.

Leaders' Retreat 2010

Leaders' Retreat is strategically designed to help NCJW leaders hone their leadership skills, effectively mobilize members, network with colleagues, and obtain the latest news about NCJW's initiatives. The retreat highlights NCJW's commitment to organizational and professional development as a means to achieving its mission. The 2010 Leaders' Retreat will bring together leaders from across the country and take an in-depth look into the most pressing issues affecting local NCJW communities.

National Convention 2011
March 3–5, 2011, Dallas, TX

Hundreds of women will gather in Dallas for NCJW's 45th National Convention where they will have the opportunity to speak out and make their mark on the future of NCJW. NCJW members will debate and vote on the resolutions, bylaws, and policies that will set the stage for the next triennium. New NCJW leaders will be elected, and nationally renowned speakers will share their insights on a variety of critical topics. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other leaders of social change from across the country, and celebrate the outstanding work of NCJW volunteers and sections.

Turn beliefs into meaningful action…make your passion for Israel come alive. All NCJW members and families are invited to join our mission to Israel. 

You are sure to be inspired by NCJW's contribution to Israel by visiting our Israel Granting Program sites and learning about NCJW's impact on shaping Israel's social fabric directly from our coalition partners.  Be privy to briefings from key players on Israel's socio-political forefront and meet the women who are making a difference in Israel.  But most of all, warm the hearts of Israelis with your show of solidarity.

NCJW's only face-to-face event in 2009, Leaders' Retreat is strategically designed to help NCJW leaders hone their leadership skills, effectively mobilize members, network with colleagues, and obtain the latest news about NCJW's initiatives. The retreat highlights NCJW's commitment to organizational and professional development as a means to achieving its mission.

Emphasizing the current economic climate, the 2009 Leaders' Retreat will bring together leaders from across the country and take an in-depth look into the most pressing issues affecting local NCJW communities.

Agenda highlights include:

  • Plenary on economic justice and how it relates to NCJW issues and advocacy
  • Ample time for leaders to brainstorm opportunities provided by these historic times
  • Website training including making the most of Internet tools with an introduction to a website template in development for section use
  • A breakout session on section governance
